Dr Margaret Jose-Buckle is a passionate mathematics teacher and professional learning facilitator. Her desire to improve professional learning outcomes inspired her doctoral thesis “Re-examining the theory-practice divide in mathematics education using the Refined Consensus Model of PCK”. The thesis focuses on understanding teachers’ pedagogical reasoning for implementing changes to classroom practice. This interest in understanding the practical implementation of theory extends to Marg’s work with students and teachers, where she aims to deconstruct mathematical concepts into practical, concrete representations. When not in the classroom Marg enjoys finding mathematics in the wild and playing field hockey.
